Factoids

Too bad for Mixi.

she loves it

Came across kind of a neat pick-me-up in the morning if you enjoy punctuation marks that are rarely used: 14 Punctuation Marks That You Never Knew Existed

It's morning, and we're about to sample some Melitta coffee that we only got charged 13 cents for at the store thanks to a broken scale.  If it's not any good, I still have the receipt.

Last night I played a guitar solo on a naked mannequin.

Crest Pro-Health: Tastes great, but my tongue has been numb-ish for about 3 days since I received a freebie of it in the mail.  Maybe consider brushing with instead of eating (as much).  But seriously, why the shit is my tongue numb?

It's ok to use your cell phones again, ppl

we are the same

Because you felt so threatened by the possibility that cellular technology would be the death of us all that you actually put your phone into a safe deposit box and locked it away to prevent any electromagnetic fields from escaping and endangering your health any further, I am pleased to assure you that a new study says that we have no reason to connect cancer risk with the use of cell phones.  Until the next study proving otherwise comes out.

Because you like animals better than people...

queen victoria

Freekibble.com

Every day, go to each of the above sites and answer a trivia question. Whether you're right or wrong, the site will donate 10 pieces of kibble to hungry animals, and you get to feel really good (or really horrible) about how much you (might not) know. They feed millions of dogs and cats while you answer a daily question and move on with your activities. It's awesome!

Another great site that feeds hungry animals is The Animal Rescue Site. If you also care about hungry kids, literacy, breast cancer, the rainforest, and child health care, you can navigate around that site and click the big buttons to give for free too. These ones let you click more than once a day. It's a pretty good deal, since you don't really have to do anything extraordinary, but you're helping the ones who need it.

Garlic > You

For those who might not know, lately I've been cooking a lot. Since adulthood, I've been a fan of crushing garlic into just about everything I make in some form. I think you should do it too.

Good, quick read about it here:

Warning: Do not eat if starring in New Moon.

Turning a blind eye to science. (See what I did there?)

petallica

A blind woman is able to see again after having a tooth and part of her cheek lining implanted in her eye. Of course, the operation has been referred to as 'disfiguring' (I guess there's no real happy medium), but given the choice, I think I'd take sight again over my own vanity. Chances are she couldn't apply makeup all that great before the surgery anyhow. There's always sunglasses.

Amazing though, isn't it? [Article here]

Hopefully I live. But who knows!

a fine vine she be

I didn't get a tetanus shot and I still feel like my leg (the part that doesn't have the cut on it) has a giant bruise, and my arm too, and for the past hour all I can smell is copper. So if I hemorrhage and die in the next couple of hours, it's because I really wanted to move my bed to the other side of the room a couple days ago.
