Bloop-a-doop-doop

flatter-o-rama

Christmas is raping my wallet. (And everyone else's.) What a time of good cheer.

Something really good that has happened recently is that Miklos asked me to marry him. Okay, so he always asks me, but this time it was well-planned and not while I was in the bathroom and he was walking by in the hallway/while we were watching tv/while washing the car or something. I turned into a monkey and jumped around like the House of Pain. So it's all very good.

I really can't wait for January. Christmas is a sweet time of year and all, it's nice to see family you barely ever see due to awkwardness and distance and occasional dismemberments, but Retail Hell is driving me off my wheels, sending my brain careening into an outer space of insanity. Plus, in January I'll get to make fun of how old Miklos is. Because he's OLD, come January. Bless.

Christmas shopping causes a feeling of overwhelming exhaustion and discomfort. I suggest avoiding it.

Snow, Rain, Wind, Cold

niagara parks

I'm gonna be living like an Un-Employed for the next four (4) days and it's going to be sweet. Relaxation, boredom, and depression abound! Should be a riot.

Andrew and I are going to see Brent Butt on January 30th at Massey Hall, because, why not? Corner Gas should be on as long as the Simpsons has been, if not two times as many seasons. Just another reason for having a distaste for life.

Christmas was wonderful, and I truly do mean that. Other than my sister's trip to the hospital which worried us some, and delayed dinner by three hours (which really, I didn't mind all that much... Mom's crescent rolls were great for tiding us over, and what am I going to do, complain about my sister seeking medical attention for a cut she didn't mean to get? Just a shame she had to wait so long... as I'm known for saying, there is a reason our health care is "free" in this country.) When all was said and done, Christmas was a complete success, with a nice healthy rendition of Catopoly to close it out. I did not win.

I'm starving, what are you making me?

X -Marks the Spot-mas

In the spirit of "I have to stop buying everything that I see" and "Oh, thank god there's a gifting holiday coming up to save me", I have begun a Christmas List.

  • Matthew Good: Live at Massey Hall
  • winter coat
  • Giftcards for Bluenotes, Chapters, Tim Hortons, Esso (or generally cheaper gas station)
  • CAA
  • printer that doesn't stop working 6 months after I buy it from Future Shop
  • new tires
please don't go

I spent a good 15 minutes teaching myself the main guitar bit from "Love this Town" by Joel Plaskett last night. So cute.

A friend of mine is driving 14 hours today to get to his new location where he will have a freaking morning radio show. Crazy. Yep. I'm still working in retail at 24.

Time to get moving. And hopefully not itching.
