deadDAN ... da
On the way to Grundy Lake this weekend (Sudbury-ish), I drove on through Coldwater; home to none other than the Notorious D.A.N. I was going to take a picture, but I was too frustrated that the one and only gas station I found was closed, so I made a point to get the hell out of there before I was eaten alive by the rather suspect wild turkeys Andrew spotted along the road.
I'd like to live up north if not for the gasoline prices and the desolation.
Anyway, I'm back. Thank you, Dan, for keeping alive my readership.
Andrew caught a fucking four-foot-long northern pike. Holy shit. It didn't fit in our net and it ate my dad's lucky lure and then swam away, but Jesus. I could have rode that fish home if it had stuck around long enough. Tonnes of pictures soon.

The entire town was honoured to be graced with your presence.
Oh, and there are two (2) gas stations in Coldwater... and they are directly across the street from one another.
1) I know.
2) This must have been a pretend one, because it was old and run down and closed, and it was across the street from a forest.
End Note: We really did see turkeys. It's okay. I saw a dead coyote on the side of the road in St Catharines last night. I missed the live turkeys when I saw it.
I'll see your dead coyote and raise you one live cow. That's right, while driving back to Coldwater from Orillia last week, I saw a goddam cow standing at the side of the road.
p.s. you should move up north. We could be neighbours. Just like the Hatfields and the McCoys.
Haha. I've considered it. Especially now after that suggestion.
I wish I saw a cow standing at the side of the road. I saw some cows on a hill somewhere up north, and it looked like they could trip and roll down onto the highway at any given moment. I really kind of wanted to see them roll.
