Sometimes I am not altogether impressed with the customer service I receive
This is highly unoriginal of me to say, but sometimes I get it in my head that the standards for hiring someone at Tim Hortons are rather low.
Why, I hate to say this, but I might even conclude from several of my most recent visits that many of the employees who work there are rather, well, stupid!
And it's not as if I couldn't handle more stupid people. The heavens know I am wont to deal with them just about every day of my working life, and as such I should well be used to them. The thing that irks me is that when I am a perfectly courteous, respectful customer, I am still treated the way they treat their shitty, disrespectful swine clientele. And even so, I would expect this from their teenage and 20-something employees who feel insulted to even be in such a place wasting their young lives. However, when the person who is curt and inappropriate and unprofessional to me is an adult, nearly 50 years of age, who clearly was never taught any etiquette or common sense whatsoever, I begin to think that perhaps the establishment has some management issues.
I would be hard-pressed to conceive of a place where this middle-aged woman might have worked her entire life up until now that would allow her to get away with being such a ridiculous whore, aside of course from a whorehouse. Which is probably accurate, because Tim Hortons is likely the only place that will hire you with that in your resume, which, if she was left to construct it, probably did list her experience as a ten-cent concubine.
I would almost go as far as to say that, lately, I hate Tim Hortons. I hope that the one nearest me (which has by far proven the least professional location I've ever been to, even compared to the one at Bathurst & Dupont in Toronto which at the time only employed racist women) disappears. I hope that rusty old hag loses her job and has to feed on guttermeal to keep her moldy old bones functional.
It's a really pretty day out.
Really pretty.

Great Post. I have to agreed that the Tim Hortons you speaks of is the worst I've ever encountered.
